We're devoted to regular exercise of European martial art of fighting with melée weapons.

What joins us is love for cold steel weapons and the desire to build the Art in using them — even for real self-defense. We're exercising the art of swordplay especially as martial art.

Lessons are based on treatises of Italian Renaissance masters Giacomo di Grassi and Salvator Fabris. We also get inspiration from fechtbuch of Joachim Meyer and books of RNDr Pavel Plch.

Weapons

  • short one-handed weapon — dussack, scramasax, axe, club
  • spear, spear and shield, spear and cloak, spear and net
  • combination of one-handed weapons with buckler, round shield, kite shield, heater shields
  • rapier
  • combination of two weapons — dussacks, rapiers, rapier and dagger
  • long axe, halberd
  • two handed sword
  • cloak and fishing net
  • cooperation in fighting formations

We're exercising with steel weapon replicas to get proper feeling. We're utilizing plastic swords, shinai and fencing epée (thrusting) to exercise maximum strength and speed. Once a year we throw a friendly sparring party open to martial artists from any weapon-oriented schools.
